　　作为大学英语四级考试题型之一的长篇阅读占分比例为10%,考查形式为段落匹配。了解和掌握一定的解题策略将有助于此部分的作答，在此以新视野大学英语第三版第三册的某长篇阅读为例进行分析。

　　1.同义词转换法。题中的表达方式为：At Apple, your precious time will be concentrated on how to make forward progress instead of trying to figure out what others are really saying.原文中的表达方式为：100 percent of your group’s time will be focused on forward progress-no need to decode what people are really saying. Concentrate 和focus为同义词。

　　2.词性转换法。题中的表达方式为：People need to practice the idea of simplicity when the groups in some companies are likely to expand unnecessarily.原文中的表达方式为：You need to be the enforcer and be prepared to hit the process with the Simple Stick when the group is threatened with unnecessary expansion. Expand unnecessarily为动词+副词,unnecessary expansion为形容词+名词。

　　3.释义法。释义法也称为改述法，是用另外一种表述方式表达同一意思。题中的表达方式为：The meetings of a small group may not distract attention, waste time, or weaken great ideas.原文中的表达方式为：Most people know from experience that the fastest way to lose focus, waste valuable time, and water down great ideas is to entrust them to a large group.

　　4.借代法。借代指用一事物的名称代替与之相关的另一事物，如好莱坞指代美国电影界,华尔街指代美国金融界。题中的表达方式为：The employees at Apple are supposed to be equipped with intelligence, common sense……原文中的表达方式为：The assumption is that you are well equipped with brains and common sense……Brains指代intelligence.

　　5.举例法。题中的表达方式为：……so there are no signs telling you how to do things.原文中的表达方式为：……there will be no signs telling you how to tie your shoes or fill a glass of water.
