　　例句1： 汉字的数量很多，总数约60000个。

　　1)        用连词连接：

　　The number of Chinese characters is great, and the total number is about 60,000.

　　2)        分词短语做状语：

　　The number of Chinese characters is great, totaling about 60,000.

　　3)        介词短语做状语：

　　The number of Chinese characters is great, with about 60,000 in all.

　　例句2：但是要雕刻大量的版，还是十分费事。

　　1）用连词连接：

　　Many wooden blocks had to be engraved, so it was rather troublesome.

　　2) 非限定性定语从句连接：

　　Many wooden blocks had to be engraved, which was rather troublesome.

　　例句3：京剧是中国流行最广、影响最大的一个剧种，有近200年的历史。

　　1）用连词连接：

　　Peking Opera is the most popular and influential opera in China, and it has a history of almost 200 years.

　　2) 介词短语做状语：

　　Peking Opera is the most popular and influential opera in China with a history of almost 200 years.
